Serguei Borodine (Rus: сергуеи бородине) is the main antagonist of Syberia. He is the Director of the Industrial City of Komkolzgrad.
Biography[]
After Kate winds the train to leave Komkolzgrad, she sees a man getting out of it. Kate enters the train and finds Oscar tied up, gagged and without his hands.
Kate looks for the attacker inside the factory, who explains he just borrowed the hands for his automaton pianist, and that he'd return them when he heard Helena Romanski sing just once more.
After Kate returns to the factory with Helena, the latter sings, accompanied by the automaton pianist. When she finishes singing, a cage falls above her and traps her. Kate frees her by breaking the padlock with shears and gets Oscar's hands back. Helena exits the factory, but bars go down behind her, and Sergei appears on a monitor screen, demanding that Kate gives him the hands and Helena back, or else he wouldn't be responsible for his actions. Kate attempts to take an elevator, but runs away before a bomb inside it explodes.
When Kate is about to leave on the train, she finds iron rods coming from the legs of the iron statue used to wind the train, blocking its way. She finds a set of explosives and blows up the statue, finally escaping from Komkolzgrad.
