A book titled Notes and Sketches from the Frozen North is a journal of Alexei Toukianov, a monk that traveled deep into Siberia and met Youkols, learining about their culture, believes and medicine.
History[]
Alexiei wrote this book while on his journey. Later when he returned to the Monastery, he hid it in a secret stash and revealed it's location only to his close friend the Monk.
Syberia II[]
When Kate Walker arrived in the Monastery with Hans, who was very ill, the Monk heard them talking about Alexei. Hans believed that only he can save him, as he knew the Youkol medicine. Monk decided to help Kate and gave her instructions as to how to find Alexei's secret stach. Kate managed to find it, she read the book and took it with her. She often used the things she learned from it on her further journey.
