History[]

Before Syberia[]

Cornelius Pons has studied paleontology on the University of Barrockstadt, where he met Hans, another student at the time. The two became friends, sharing the same passion, although they disagreed about the existance of some mammoths still being alive. Hans’ unusual inventions and fascination with mammoths left a strong impression on young Pons, even after Hans left Barrockstadt to continue his journey.

After finishing his studies Pons became a Proffesor and Lecturer at the University and later an Emeritus Proffecor, eventualy becoming the Head of the Department of Palaeozoology.

At some point the Rectors, Profesor Pons and the Stationmaster began a secret illegal production of Barrockstadt Sauvignon, a new wine type produced from the forest Sauvignon grapes grown in the Garden behind the Train Station and tended to by the Stationmaster. Profesor Pons would distill the wine using the equipment from his Laboratory and share it with the Rectors.

Syberia[]

Professor met Kate Walker, an americal layer, when she came to the University during her stay in Barrockstadt. She asked him if he knew Hans Voralberg and Pons told her everything he knew about him, revealing that he left Barrockstadt long ago. During their conversation Pons mentioned the mammoth doll of whom he knew from Hans and how he would love to see it someday as it would be proof of the Youkol presence in French Alps.

Kate revealed that she has the doll. She brought it to the Professor and allowed him to study it to make a lecture about his finds. Professor Pons was very grateful and after extensive reaserch he hosted the lecture about the doll, Mammoths and the Youkols. Later he returned the mammoth doll to Kate and gave her photocopies of his lecture which included The legend of the ivory ark.
