The Valadilene Church is located at the end of the city's main street.
Apperance[]
The church has a tall tower with a cross on top. A tower elevator leads to a room at the top. The automaton located in the tower, plays different melodies using church's bells depending on the punch card used to activate it. Every punch card is used for a different ocasion, with the purple one also opening the Voralberg tomb. At the back of the church there is a sacristy. There is a cemetery next to the church.
History[]
Before Syberia[]
The Voralberg family were attending the church reguralry.
One day in March 1938, when Leon Bonnard was a young priest, Rudolph Voralberg came to him and announced that his son, Hans, just died. The priest believed him and led the funeral and the burial. Later Leon became the parish priest.
Several years later Anna Voralberg, after a close to death accident, came to the church to confess. She told Leon that the body of her younger brother was not at rest in the family tomb, becuse he is still alive. She revealed that the whole thing was staged by her father to exorcise the blind hatred he felt for his son, after he run away from home.
After many years of living with this knowledge, Leon was about to step down from his position. He decided to write a letter to the new Valadilene Parish Priest, in which he revealed everything that happened.
Syberia[]
On April 17, 2002, Anna Voralberg's funeral took place and the church's grounds were closed for the ceremony.
When it ended Kate Walker came to the sacristy to get the punch cards and Voralberg key required to open the Voralberg family tomb. She found the letter from Leon and learned the truth about Hans. She then left to explore the tomb.
