Benoît Sokal (*28 June 1954 - † May 28 2021) was a Belgian comic artist, colourist and game developer. His first created adventure game, developed together with Microids, was called "Amerzone" (or "Amerzone: The Explorer's Legacy") which was released 1999. "Amerzone" is again mentioned in the "Syberia" series. Sokal is the concept artist and creator of the Syberia universe.
- He studied at the École Supérieure des Arts Saint-Luc in Brussels.
- Is also the creator of the comic series "Inspector Canardo" (23 issues)
