Barrockstadt is a mostly destroyed German city protected by The Wall. The city is known all over the world for its huge University.
History[]
Before Syberia[]
The University brought fame to the town. Students from all over the world would travel there to learn about zoology, ornithology, botany, palaeontology, paleozoology and other subjects.
Hans Voralberg stayed in Barrockstadt during his travels for a couple years to study mammoths. He didn't have enough money to study on the University, so instead he started creating automatons for the town as an alternative means of payment. That convinced the Rectors to let him stay and study.
Hans created the mechanical eagle that collected cocatoo eggs from bird's nests located on the Barrockstadt Train Station as well as the University Bandstand. While there Hans met another student, Cornelius Pons who became his friend, sharing a passion for mammoths. Hans left after he learned everything there was to learn.
Later in his years Cornelius Pons became a Profesor at the University.
Syberia[]
Kate Walker arrived in Barrockstadt after leaving Valadilene. She had to wind the mechanical train again in order to continue her jurney.
